Adjustments
Check Calibration Security State
The current state of calibration security can be found by using the
CAL:SEC:STAT? command. A ’1’ is returned if calibration security is enabled, and
a ’0’ is returned if calibration security is disabled.

This example checks calibration security status.

Changing the Security Code
The security code can be changed with the following procedure. The security
code can contain up to 12 characters.

Disable calibration security:
CAL:SEC:STAT OFF, <security code>
where <security code> = the current active security code

Set a new security code:
CAL:SEC:CODE <security code>
where <security code> = new security code of up to 12 characters

Enable calibration security:
CAL:SEC:STAT ON, <security code>
Example
The following multimeter SCPI commands change the security code from
’HP_E1412’ to ’MYCODE1234’.
*RST
Resets the multimeter
CAL:SEC:STAT OFF,HP_E1412
Disable cal security
CAL:SEC:CODE MYCODE1234
Change code
CAL:SEC:STAT ON,MYCODE1234
Enable cal security
