Visual Basic Programs

All projects written in the Visual Basic® programming language require the
following settings, files or paths to work properly:

3. Visual Basic® file CONSTANT.TXT for message box and input box variables

Windows 3.1 Use of the VISA.BAS file

You must make the following modification to the VISA.BAS file for it to be
compatible with Windows 3.1® application. Do not modify the original file but
make a new file with the modifications as follows:

Import the [drive:]\VXIPNP\WIN\INCLUDE\VISA.BAS file into a text editor or
word processor.

In the "- Memory I/O Operations ----------------------" section, change the
variable "spc" to "cps" in the first four lines (the viIn8, viIn16, viOut8 and
viOut16 functions). "spc" is the second variable passed to the function.

3

Perform a "Save As..." on the file in the same directory with the name
VISA_31.BAS (do not save it as VISA.BAS again). You still have the original
VISA.BAS file for Windows 95® or Windows NT® use.

4

Include the [drive:]\VXIPNP\WIN\INCLUDE\VISA_31.BAS file in your Visual
Basic® project files in place of the VISA.BAS file.

Executable Files (.EXE)

Executable files (.EXE files) are provided on the service disk for immediate
operation without the need for an ANSI C compiler or a Visual Basic® compiler.
The C language executable files were compiled using Microsoft® Visual C++
