Totalizer
The digital modules have 32-bit totalizer input channels for counting pulses and
measuring frequency. You can manually read the totalizer count or you can
configure a scan to read the count.
You can configure the totalizer to count on the rising edge or falling edge of the
input signal. The minimum rise/fall time for input signals to the totalizer is 5

S.
The maximum count is 4,294,967,295 (2
32
- 1). The count rolls over to "0" after
reaching the maximum allowed value.
You can configure the totalizer to read without affecting the count or reset the
count to zero without losing any counts.
