CALibration Subsystem
The
CALibration
command subsystem is used to zero and calibrate the power
meter. It is also used to set the reference calibration factor for the power sensor
which is being used.
The numeric suffix of the
CALibration
command refers to a specific channel:
–
CALibration1
represents Channel A
–
CALibration2
represent Channel B
Zeroing and calibration of the power meter is recommended:
– When a 5
o
C change in temperature occurs
– When you change the power sensor
– Every 24 hours
– Prior to measuring low level signals. For example, 10 dB above the lowest
specified power for your sensor.
The following
CALibration
commands are overlapped commands:
–
CAL:ALL
–
CAL:AUTO
–
CAL:ZERO:AUTO
An overlapped command allows the instrument to continue parsing and executing
subsequent commands while it is still executing.
