2.
Position the surge protector over the AC input assembly and
attach it using the M3 35 mm long screw provided with the
surge protector (item A). Torque the screw using the T10
Torx driver to 9 in-lbs.
3.
Install the AC line ring lugs (L1, L2, and L3) to the surge
protector (item A). Use the three M5 35 mm long bolts
provided with the surge protector (item C), and three lock
washers originally provided with the AC input assembly (item
B) to attach the wires and the surge protector to the AC input
assembly (item B in Step 2). Torque the bolts using the 8 mm
Hex driver to 20 in-lbs.
NOTE: Do NOT use the additional lock washers provided with the original M5 bolts, or the original
M3 screw provided on the unit.
4.
If you have not already done so, install the ground wire ring lug over the ground stud located
directly below the AC input assembly (item C in Step 2). Torque the M5 combination nut using the 8
mm driver to 20 in-lbs.
5.
Install the AC input cover and strain relief as described under Power Cord Installation.
Power Cable Connections
Compliance to all regulations for the operation of and connection to the public grid of
energy back-feeding equipment is required.
AC mains connections must be made by a qualified electrician who is knowledgeable
about energy back-feeding equipment to ensure that all applicable safety
requirements have been applied and all necessary conditions have been met.
Knowledge about 3-phase mains circuits and all applicable safety standards and
requirements is also required.
An AC mains power cable is not provided with the unit.
Refer to the following table for the maximum current capacity requirements for each cable conductor.
If required by local electrical codes, install a fuse or circuit breaker between the ac mains and the unit.
Keep the AC mains cables as short as possible. The longer the cable, the greater the voltage loss due
to cable resistance.
