Performing the N5290/1 A System Operator's Check
The N5290/1 A System Operator's Check is done to verify the system to isolate
the problem instrument or after the N5292A test set has been repaired and the
N5292A test Operator's Check has been completed. Refer to
Functional Verification Procedure” on page 3-16
The operator's check is a software driven test that checks the basic operation
of the assemblies in all of the measurement port signal paths. By performing
the operator's check, the following are tested:
— attenuation ranges of all installed attenuators
— calibration of the receivers
— frequency response of the receivers
— phase lock and leveling
— basic functional test of noise floor and trace noise

IMPORTANT!
Before you begin any testing on a System or instrument,
always inspect the connectors on the instrument, the calibration kit,
cables and adapters.
To achieve the maximum system stability, allow the analyzer to warm up
for at least 15 minutes before performing the Operator's Check.
