Keysight M9037-00100 Cooling Cover Installation Guide
Keysight’s M9037 Cooling Cover is required for the M9037A PXIe High
Performance Embedded Controller for maximum cooling. The Cooling Cover
should be used for all applications that use a combination of high-power
modules.
Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
Electrostatic discharge (ESD) can damage or destroy electronic components.
All work on electronic assemblies should be performed at a static-safe work
station. The figure on the right shows an example of a static-safe work station
protection. Purchase acceptable ESD accessories from your local supplier.
•
Conductive table-mat and wrist-strap combination.
•
Conductive floor-mat and heel-strap combination.
Both types, when used together, provide a significant level of ESD protection.
Of the two, only the table-mat and wrist-strap combination provides adequate
ESD protection when used alone. To ensure user safety, the static-safe
accessories must provide at least 1 M
Ω
of isolation from ground.
Inspect for Damage
After unpacking the Cooling Cover, carefully inspect it for any shipping damage. Report any damage to the
shipping agent immediately, as such damage is not covered by the warranty.
Cooling Cover Installation
1. Make sure the PXI chassis power is turned off. Leave the power cable connected for grounding purposes.
2. Remove the M9037A from the chassis and place it on a static-safe conductive mat.
3. Remove the four Torx T8 screws indicated below. Retain these screws; they are used to attach the Cooling
Cover.
To avoid damage when handling the M9037A Embedded Controller; do not touch exposed connector pins.
