Com and
Pwr indic-
ators
The PWR indicator will light up when the X8721A test set is powered on.
The COM indicator flashes when the X8721A test set is communicating with a remote controller.

Trigger IO
- Transmit and receive frame triggering.
- Trigger input (DUT Tx/trigger from another instrument) based on threshold level.
-Trigger out to another instrument. For example, to a spectrum analyzer for frequency domain measurement.

Detector Out
This is the buffered analog output from the onboard power detector.
It can be used to replace the X8712AD as part of the Event-Based Power Analysis system.

Aux I/O ter-
minal
This provides an attenuated copy of what is at the RFIO port.
It can be used to connect additional hardware to extend the capabilities of X8721A. As an example, a spectrum analyzer,
signal generator, or power sensor might be connected to provide additional capabilities.

RFIO
This is the bi-directional RF port that connects the tester to the Device Under Test (DUT).
Connect one end of the RF cable here and the other end to the shield box or directly to the DUT.

to chassis
This item is reserved for future use.

Power Sup-
ply
Supply power to the X8721A test set. Connect the power cord provided to connect to this port before connecting to the
source of electricity.

USB port
Connect the USB cable (8121-3190) from here to your PC.

LAN port
You can also connect your instrument using a LAN cable.
