Using the Radar Assistant
1 Connect the instruments as described in “Setting up the System” on page 8.
Make sure the RF output on all instruments are turned off. Launch the M8195A
Soft Front Panel application if it has not been already started.
2 The radar assistant will control the N5183B source remotely, hence a USB or
LXI connection is required between the M9502A and instrument as shown in
Figure 2 .
3 We are going to configure IQTools and instruments for use with the radar
assistant:
a From the IQTools main dialog, click on the Configure instrument
connection button. This will launch the Instrument Configuration dialog as
shown in Figure 13 .
