6.7.2. Usage of the reed contact
The reed contact extends the MultiSensor-Door by an additional alarm contact for the definite open/closed
detection of a door or window. The contact reacts to magnetic fields (magnet contained in package). For the
installation a wiring is not necessary.
To ensure the functionality of the contact, take care to not exceed the
maximum distance of one centimeter
between magnet and casing and orientated to one side of the casing of the MultiSensor.
Depending on the type of the door or window it might be necessary to place a spacer between surface and
magnet to not exceed the maximum distance to the sensor.
