7.3 Changing the filter
The life of the filter elements depends on the type and amount of dust separated.
Regular changes of the prefilter can greatly extend the life of the subsequent main
filter. At the latest, when changing the main filter, the prefilter mat should also be
replaced.
We recommend the following service intervals:
Filter Model
Article number
Recommended
operating time
Prefilter mat, pack of 10
109 0033
about 50 hours
Main filter
109 0457
about 200 hours
With increasing dust loading of the filter, flow resistance increases and the extraction
capacity decreases. Once it falls below a minimum value, the signal horn sounds and
the green operation indicator light turns off. Now a filter change is required.
WARNING
Cleaning of the filter elements is not allowed. This inevitably results in
damage to the filter medium, which makes the function of the filter no
longer possible and dangerous substances are released into the air.
Only use original replacement filters, because only they guarantee the requisite
degree of separation, are designed for the unit and match its performance.
•
Turn the ProfiMaster off via the switch in item 1.
•
Prevent unintentional restart by pulling the power plug out.
•
Open the maintenance door, item 3.
•
On the main filter is the prefilter tray, item 4.1 and the internal prefilter mat. Pull
the prefilter tray out of the unit.
•
Gently lift the main filter, item 4.3, via the grip on the front and pull it towards
you.
•
Grasp the main filter on the side walls, lift it carefully out of the unit and place it
on a workbench.
•
Put the filter to be changed in a plastic bag and seal it with e.g. cable ties.
Suitable plastic bags are procurable from KEMPER: article no. 119 0431.
•
In the process make sure as little dust as possible is stirred up.
•
Replace each filter cartridge with new ones.
