3.4 Residual risk
Even if all the safety regulations are obeyed, there is a residual risk when operating
the
MiniFil which is described below.
All persons working on and with the MiniFil must know what this residual risk is and
follow the instructions that prevent these residual risks leading to accidents or
damage.
WARNING
Severe damage to health of respiratory organs and the respiratory
tract - wear respiratory protection e.g.
KEMPER autoflow XP or a respiratory protection filter mask
of class FFP2 as per EN 149.
Skin contact with welding fumes etc. can lead to skin irritations in
sensitive individuals – wear protective clothing.
Before starting welding work, ensure that the filter elements are
complete and undamaged, and the device is running! Only when
the green light on the device switch is lit there is sufficient
volumetric flow for welding fumes to be extracted.
When changing filter inserts, the skin can come into contact with
the separated dust and the work may cause some of the dust to
swirl. You should therefore wear a respirator and protective
clothing.
Spark nests in the filter elements can possibly result in a
smouldering fire - switch the filter unit off and extinguish the fire
in the filter unit with the aid of the necessary firefighting
equipment (e.g.: fire extinguishers / fire blanket).
Secure the hazard area and inform the responsible personnel
immediately.
Leaks in the filter element can lead to dust being released into the
environment, repair leaks immediately and clean the contaminated
area - wear respiratory protective equipment and clothing.
