Command execution rules
The following are a few basic rules of SCPI command execution:
•
Commands execute in the order that they are presented in the command message.
•
An invalid command generates an error message and is not executed.
•
Valid commands that precede an invalid command in a multiple command message are
executed.
•
Valid commands that follow an invalid command in a multiple command message are ignored.
Case sensitivity
Common commands and SCPI commands are not case sensitive. You can use uppercase or
lowercase characters

as shown in the following examples:
*RST = *rst
:DATA? = :data?
:SYSTem:PRESet = :system:preset
