™
You can also take panoramic exposures with the ORTHOfocus
™
, an automatic sharp layer
calculation.
When the ORTHOfocus
™
is selected, an optimal sharp layer is calculated from the patient
data and displayed in the CLINIVIEW
™
software.
For more information on the use of the ORTHOfocus
™
, see
4.5 Multilayer selection
For maximum image clarity and sharpness, the position of the focal trough may be
adjusted after exposure. Five pre-adjusted images are calculated. The X-ray unit may be
configured to automatically select either the unadjusted image, send all images to the
workstation or display all images on the touch screen for image selection.
In the midmost image no adjustment is applied, i.e. the focal through is located exactly
at the layer light position. Images on the - side have the focal through adjusted towards
the patients neck (posterior). Images on the + side have the focal through adjusted
towards the patients lips (anterior). The difference in adjustment between the images is
3 mm.
If you use a touch screen to select the images to be examined at the workstation, select
the images as follows:
1.
The touch screen shows a large preview of the selected thumbnail image. To select,
which image is previewed, press the corresponding thumbnail image on the lower
part of the screen.
2.
To mark the previewed image to be saved, press the thumbnail again. A Save
indication icon appears on the upper right corner of the thumbnail image.
3.
Repeat the process for all desired images.
