2 Measuring and configuration

2.1 Control unit service program

▶ NOTE: Make sure that the software version is correct. All files must be the same

version.

▶ Now send the file "service.exe" via the Zmodem file transfer of the Hyper Ter‐

minal program to the KEY Laser.

▶ The confirmation appears.

▶ Move the key-operated switch into middle position, and the KEY Laser turns off.

Note

If additional data is missing that the system needs, the KEY Laser automatically

switches to file reception at the service interface (Com of the control computer).

Depending on the file, the baud rate can be 19200, 9600 or 2400. In this case,

correspondingly configure the communication software for the hyperterminal.

2.1.5 Switch KEY Laser service mode on/off

Note

You do not necessarily need a service notebook for service mode. The menus and

commands of service mode are shown on the touchscreen display and can also

be used.

Requirement

Do not press the EMERGENCY OFF button!

▶ Switch the main network switch to I.

▶ Turn on the key-operated switch, and turn it to the right stop.

The KaVo logo and the message "PLEASE WAIT" appear on the touchscreen

display.

▶ Touch the right top corner of the touchscreen display.

The message "STARTING SERVICEMODE" also appears.

The code field for the service mode is displayed.
