10.4 Recommended safe distances between portable
and mobile HF telecommunications equipment and this
product
This product is intended for use in an electromagnetic environment in which HF
disturbances are controlled. The customer or user of the product can help pre-
vent electromagnetic interference by maintaining minimum distances between
portable and mobile high-frequency communication devices (transmitters) and
the product as recommended below corresponding to the maximum output of
the communication device.

For transmitters whose maximum rated power is not included in the above
table, the recommended safe distance d in metres (m) can be calculated using
the equation for the respective column, where P is the maximum rated power
of the transmitter in Watts (W) as specified by the manufacturer.
NOTE: At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the higher frequency range applies.
NOTE 2: These guidelines may not be applicable in every case. The spread of
electromagnetic waves is absorbed and reflected by buildings, objects and
people.
