5.12.4 Settings "Data protection"
S-table / T-table
The data protection mode can be switched on or off.
Data protection mode switched on: the screen of the treatment centre shows
the screensaver as long as the patient list and/or main menu of CONNECTbase
is visible on the touch display of the dentist element.
Data protection mode switched off: the same contents as shown on the touch
display of the dentist element are displayed on the screen of the treatment
centre.
The deletion concept can be selected as desired.
Available deletion concepts:
▪ Maximum hard disk space: The maximum storage capacity is utilised. Once
the memory is full, the oldest images deleted.
▪ More than 10 images: A maximum of ten images is saved. Once ten images
are saved and a new image is being recorded, the oldest image is deleted.
▪ Older than one day: Images older than one day are deleted.
▪ Older than 30 day: Images older than 30 days are deleted.

Select the respective deletion concept per touch.
NOTE
Empty folders that are older than one day are deleted automatically.

Switch the import from a USB stick on/off per touch.

Switch the export to a USB stick on/off per touch.

Switch the USB-PC connection on/off per touch.
The following options are available for selection:
▪ On – default (MTP): KaVo CONNECTbase is displayed as media device on
the PC.
▪ Off: The USB-PC connection is disabled.

- Export to a USB stick can be switched on/off.
Use the button to return to the settings menu.
