4 Start up and shut down

▶ Before first use and after each use, prepare and sterilise the medical device
and accessories accordingly.
WARNING
Disposal of the product in the appropriate manner.
Prior to disposal, the product and accessories must be appropriately prepared or
sterilised if this is necessary.
CAUTION
Damage from soiled and moist cooling air.
Contaminated and moist cooling air can cause malfunctions and lead to prema‐
ture bearing wear.
▶ Make sure that the supply of cooling air is dry, clean and uncontaminated ac‐
cording to ISO 7494-2.
4.1 Mounting the permanent connection
▶ Connect the medical device to the supply hose, and screw the union nut tight
clockwise.
Depending on the hose connection, the amount of water in the spray can be ad‐
justed by turning the regulator on the hose coupling.
