7 Troubleshooting
WARNING
Electrical shock from servicing and repairs.
Injury or death from electric shock.
▶ The electrical part of the device may only be repaired and serviced by professio‐
nals or persons trained by KaVo who have been informed of the safety instruc‐
tions.
DANGER
Electrical shock from repairs of live parts.
Injury or death from electric shock.
▶ Before opening housing parts, pull the power plug and disconnect the unit com‐
pletely from the power connection so that the unit is without power.
Malfunction Cause Remedy
The illumination is insuffi‐
cient. The protective panel is
dirty
▶ Clean the protective pan‐
el.
The fluorescent bulb is de‐
fective.
▶ Replace the fluorescent
bulb.
The fluorescent bulb is old
▶ Replace the fluorescent
bulb.
The workplace light does
not shine. The electrical lead is inter‐
rupted.
▶ Check the power con‐
nection, main fuse and
plug-in connections, or
have an authorized pro‐
fessional check the light.
The fluorescent bulb is de‐
fective.
▶ Replace the fluorescent
bulb.
Defective ballast
▶ Have an authorized com‐
pany replace the ballast.
