EN 25
In winter, this tank is heated by the heating system in the superstructure to remain frost-free.
Note: If the vehicle is not used for an extended period or if the vehicle is laid up temporarily, the fresh
water tank, the boiler for the heating system, the waste water tank and the water remaining in the lines
must be fully drained to prevent frost damage. (See section “Draining the fresh water tank”).
CAUTION
Risk of frost damage!
If there is a risk of frost, the fresh water tank has to be fully drained.
Topping up the fresh water tank
The filler port for the fresh water tank is located on the outside of the vehicle. Take great care not to
confuse this with the fuel filler port! Before topping up the fresh water tank, ensure that the “fresh water
tank drain valve” is closed. (See section “Draining the fresh water tank”).
Fresh water filler port
WARNING
Health hazard from fuel!
Fuel is very harmful to health. Just a few drops of fuel can render the entire fresh water
system unusable:
●
When refuelling, do not confuse the fuel filler port with the fresh water filler port.
●
Always lock the fresh water filler port.
●
Only use clean drinking water to top up the fresh water tank.
●
Before topping up with fresh water, ensure that all drain valves are closed.
●
Never use water from the fresh water tank for drinking or for preparing meals or
drinks!
●
Disinfect the fresh water tank regularly with appropriate products from a
specialist dealer.
The fresh water tank is equipped with a sensor so that the fill level can be read out on the control panel.
The fill level is shown as a percentage. (See item “Control panel” in section “Electrical system”.)
