14. Maintenance and repairs
The user and attendant must take care of some maintenance, service and
occasionally fault-finding activities. Other activities as described in this
paragraph should be carried out under supervision of your authorized dealer.
14.1
Daily check
Check the following items before driving. If you find anything abnormal, visit
your Karma wheelchair dealer for further inspection before using it.

Examine the brakes, checking for wear, damage and misalignment.
Replacing or adjusting the brakes should be carried out by your
authorized technician.

Check that the hand grips are not damaged and are securely bonded to
the push handles.

Check anti-tippers are not damaged and are securely attached.
④
Check that the anti-tippers' wheels and frame are not damaged and are
securely mounted.

Before using the wheelchair, make sure all bolts and nuts are tightened.
Check all parts for damage or wear and have a qualified technician to
repair it if necessary. Check all parts for proper adjustment.

The wheels and tires should be checked periodically for cracks and wear,
and should be replaced by a qualified technician.

Please contact with Karma authorized distributor/dealer for a qualified
technician.
Alterations or substitutions should not be made to the wheelchair
securement points or to structural and frame parts or components without
consulting the wheelchair manufacturer.
