Troubleshooting guide
Malfunctions often have simple causes that you can remedy yourself using the following overview. When in doubt, or
in the case of malfunctions not mentioned here, please contact your authorised Customer Service.

Fault Cause Remedy
Engine does not start Insufficient fuel  Refill the tank.
Fuel type does not match or old fuel was
filled  Add new fuel of the specified type.
Fuel filter is blocked  Replace the fuel filter.

Battery is dead.  Start the appliance manually.
 Charge the battery before starting the en-
gine.
Start motor does not work (electric start)  Check the wiring.
Low engine power Fuel system fault (partial blockage of fuel
filter and piping, insufficient fuel)  Check the lines, switches and filters.
 Replace damaged elements if necessary.
Air filter blocked  Check and clean the air filter.
Engine exhausts black
smoke Fuel type does not match or old fuel was
filled  Add new fuel of the specified type.
Insufficient air  Clean the air filter element.
