Operation
Important:
•
Before operating the machine, the operator must Read All Instructions Before Using This Machine.
•
A “Maintenance in Progress” perimeter sign must be set up at both ends of the escalator.
•
The operator must know where the
Emergency Stop Button
is located.
•
The “Maintenance in Progress” signs must not be removed until the escalator treads and both upper and lower
landing areas are completely dry.
Before Operating:
•
Fill up the solution tank with clean water mixed with the chemical. The mixing ratio and the type of chemical for
the application will be introduced during the training sessions provided by the manufacturer and your local distrib-
utors.
•
For the best cleaning results and environment protection, please choose only the chemicals from or recom-
mended by the distributors.
•
Make sure the brushes are securely installed.
•
Check the condition of the brushes. If the bristles are worn, bent, or broken, the brush will need to be replaced.
Use of a damaged brush will significantly reduce cleaning performance
•
Check the recovery tank and make sure it is empty, clean and the drainage is not clogged.
•
Inspect the nozzles at the front of the machine. All nozzles should be clear of debris or blockage. Use of blocked
or partially blocked nozzles will prevent uniform application of cleaning solution, resulting in reduced cleaning
performance.
•
Check that the brake is working correctly. Fully engage the brake using the brake handle, and attempt to push
and pull the machine. The machine should remain firmly in place. If the machine rolls, or starts to turn in either
direction, the brakes will need adjustment prior to operation. Refer to the Brake Adjustment section in this
manual.
