MIXER FEATURES

1(

CHANNEL SELECTORS

- this is a 5 input mixer. Both the

music channels can be set to carry the sound from the
integral CD players or from the rear panel inputs (that can
be set to accept either Line or Phono level signals). This
switch is used to choose between either the integral CD
players or the external Line/Phono rear panel input on each
channel.

2)

GAIN CONTROLS

- adjust the channel input levels allowing

the user to reduce or increase the sound level to
compensate for quiet recordings. NOTE: care should be
taken not to produce distortion with these controls.

2!

EQ CONTROLS

- used to cut and boost specific

frequencies within your music. Turning the control clockwise
boosts the frequency. Turning the control anti-clockwise
reduces the frequency. The BASS control alters the level of
Bass frequencies, MIDDLE alters the mid frequencies, the
TREBLE alters high frequencies.

2@

CHANNEL LEVEL FADERS

- used to adjust the output level

for each channel. NOTE: care should be taken not to
produce distortion with these controls.

2#

MIC SWITCH

- this three position switch is used to to

turn the microphone off, on or engage the Talkover Facility.

Talkover automatically reduces the music level while the
microphone is in use and then automatically returns the
music to normal level when the microphone is no longer
in use.

2$

MIC LEVEL

- used to set the volume of the Microphone.

2%

MIC EQ

- The MC/DJ microphone has its own dedicated

BASS and TREBLE EQ controls. NOTE: To maximize the
performance of this microphone channel check out the
range of Mixer Matched KAM Microphones.

2^

SPLIT / MIX SWITCH

- controls the way in which the

headphone monitoring circuit works. In the SPLIT position
the sound from channel 1 is played on one side of the
headphones and the audio from channel 2 on the other.
When the switch is in the MIX position the sound from
both channels is heard in both sides of your headphones.

2&

CUE MONITOR SELECT FADER

- controls what is

monitored in the headphones. With the fader to the left
you should hear the sound from channel 1 only. With the
fader to the right you should hear the sound from channel
2 only. With the fader in the centre you should hear a mix
of both channels 1 and 2.

2*

KAM PROFADE CROSSFADER

- allows the user to mix

smoothly between both music channels.

2(

CUE LEVEL

- controls the output volume of the

headphones. Care should be taken not to have this set to
high as it could result in damage to both the hearing of
the user and the headphones. The channel to be
monitored is selected via the cue monitor select fader.

3)

LED LEVEL DISPLAY’S

The unit has two LED level displays. They show the Left
and Right levels of the Master Output of the mixer.

3!

MASTER OUTPUT CONTROL

- controls the overall output

level from the mixer, from the master output to the PA
System. NOTE: care should be taken not to produce
distortion with these controls as this could result in
damage to both the unit and any external equipment
connected.
