11.8 Cleaning the glass
The glass is a self cleaning type, therefore, while the insert is working, a veil of air is blown across its surface to remove
ash and dirt; nevertheless over a period of several hours, a greyish patina tends to form which should be cleaned when the
insert is next shut down. How dirty the glass becomes also depends on the quality and quantity of pellets used.
Cleaning the glass should be done when the insert is cold with products recommended and tested by our company.
When performing this operation, always check that the grey seal around the glass is in a good state; failure to check the
efficiency of this gasket can compromise the function of the insert. Poor quality pellets can, in any case, cause the glass
to become dirty.
NOTE: If the glass is broken, do not attempt to light the insert.
11.7 Ash box
Open the door, turn the two fastening knobs and remove
the tray. Remove all the ash fallen into the tray using a fan.
You can clean the tray more or less frequently according to
the quantity of pellets you use (Pict. 19).
11.6 Daily cleaning with a scraper
When the insert is switched off and cold, start up the
scrapers of the pipe for heat exchange 5-6 times. You
need to pull and push the two control levers set between
the front grids through which the air flows outdoor. Use
the provided dedicated tool (detail 1, pict. 17) to activa-
te the scraper: assemble the hook at the one end of the
detail 1 in the hole on the scraper and pull the scraper
several times.
• Push the scrapers toward the insert with the door closed
(Pict. 18).
• Pull the scrapers toward themselves with the door closed
(Pict. 18).
