Position mirror at desired height from floor. Using a pencil, scribe a
line along the top of mirror. This will become Reference Line "A"
(Figure A).
Remove mirror. Scribe a second line (Reference Line "B") 3 1/4"
below Line "A" (Figure B). Use a leveling tool to insure that the line is
horizontal.
While holding the cleat with the larger side facing AWAY from wall,
align the left hole in the cleat with Line "B". Once left hole is secure
(Step 4), you may proceed to the additional holes.
Securing the cleat to the wall may be accomplished by two methods:
● Installer may utilize the pre-drilled holes in the cleat. If the holes
align with the wall studs, the cleat may be secured using
multi-purpose screws (not included). It will be necessary to use
mounting anchors (not included) if the pre-drilled holes do not
align with the wall studs (Figure C).
● If the locations of the wall studs are predetermined, the installer
may drill pilot holes in the cleat to align with those wall studs. The
cleat may then be secured to the wall studs using multi-purpose
screws (Figure D).
Lower the mirror onto the cleat. Ensure that the mirror is totally
engaged before releasing your grip.
