NOTE:
Digital audio from [L-1/L-2 DIGITAL INPUT (COAXIAL/OPTICAL)]
cannot be recorded. Use the analogue audio input from the 21-pin
SCART connectors during recording.
L-2 Select Setting
Set A L-2 SELECT B to the appropriate mode depending on the type
of appliance connected to the unit’s [L-2 INPUT/DECODER]
connector.

ENTER for confirmation.

DECODER
Select A VIDEO/RGB B or A S-VIDEO/RGB B to use this unit as the
recording deck with the player connected to the [L-2 INPUT/
DECODER] connector, or to use the satellite receiver connected to
the [L-2 INPUT/DECODER] connector.
VIDEO/RGB
:
If a connected appliance’s output is compatible with regular
video signals, set to
A VIDEO/RGB B .
S-VIDEO/RGB
:
If a connected appliance’s output is compatible with Y/C
signals, set to
A S-VIDEO/RGB B . You can obtain a high-quality
picture. (For connection, be sure to use a 21-pin SCART cable
that is compatible with the Y/C signal.)
Select A SAT VIDEO/RGB B or A SAT S-VIDEO/RGB B to view a
satellite programme with the TV set while the unit is turned off.
SAT VIDEO/RGB
:
If a connected satellite receiver’s output is compatible with
regular video signals, set to
A SAT VIDEO/RGB B .
SAT S-VIDEO/RGB
:
If a connected satellite receiver’s output is compatible with Y/C
signals, set to
A SAT S-VIDEO/RGB B . You can obtain a high-
quality S-VHS picture. (For connection, be sure to use a 21-pin
SCART cable that is compatible with the Y/C signal.)
DECODER
:
To use a decoder connected to the [L-2 INPUT/DECODER]
connector.
NOTES:
●
When RGB signals are output from the connected appliance
such as a satellite receiver, the unit will record in RGB signals
except when
A L-2 SELECT B is set to A DECODER B .
●
If you have a satellite receiver or a decoder connected to the [L-2
INPUT/DECODER] connector, be sure to set
A L-2 SELECT B back
to appropriate mode after editing.
●
When you want to play back and record RGB picture, connect the
satellite receiver’s RGB compatible output connector to the unit’s
input connector.
●
If you are not connecting a satellite receiver or a decoder to the
[L-2 INPUT/DECODER] connector, leave
A L-2 SELECT B set to
A VIDEO/RGB B .
●
When A L-2 SELECT B is set to A SAT VIDEO/RGB B and A SAT S-
VIDEO/RGB B , A SAT B appears on the TV screen or front display
panel instead of A L-2 B .
●
If A L-1 OUTPUT B is set to A SCART S-VIDEO B , it is not possible to
set A L-2 SELECT B to A DECODER B or A SAT VIDEO/RGB B .
●
If A L-1 OUTPUT B is set to A SCART RGB B , it is not possible to set
A L-2 SELECT B to A DECODER B or A SAT S-VIDEO/RGB B .
●
If A L-1 OUTPUT B is set to A COMPONENT B and A L-2 SELECT B to
A SAT VIDEO/RGB B , A SAT S-VIDEO/RGB B or A DECODER B , be
sure to connect the [L-1 INPUT/OUTPUT] connector with a TV.
●
In order to set A L-2 SELECT B to A SAT S-VIDEO/RGB B , A L-1
OUTPUT B must be first set to A SCART S-VIDEO B .
F-1 Input Setting
Set A F-1 INPUT B to the appropriate mode depending on the
connector ([VIDEO] or [S-VIDEO]) being used on the front panel.
