AGC Adjusts the brightness at the shutter speed of up to 1/60.
AUTO Decreases the shutter speed (to 1/30), and adjust the brightness.

0 Although “AUTO” brightens the scene more than “AGC”, movements of the subject may become unnatural.

Automatically captures a still image upon detection of a smile.

OFF Does not detect smiles.
ON Automatically captures a still image upon detection of a smile.

0 The camera is able to detect up to 16 faces. Smile levels will be displayed for up to 3 of the largest faces displayed on the screen.

This function may not work properly depending on the shooting conditions (distance, angle, brightness, etc.) and the subject (direction of face, smile level,
etc.). It is also difficult to detect a smile in backlight.

After a smile is detected and captured, it takes time before the next recording may be performed.

- when menu is being displayed
- when remaining recording time is being displayed

Sets the recording format to either “AVCHD” or “MP4/MOV”.

AVCHD Selects the video quality from XP or EP.
MP4/MOV Selects the video quality from MOV 1080p LPCM, MP4 1080p, MP4 720p and iFrame 720p.
