Preparation s
Formatting the SD Card
SD card s that are being u s ed for the fir s t time will
be formatted by thi s camcorder.
When a card that re q uires formatting is inserted, a message
prompting you to format the card appears on the screen.
Push the S et Lever up or down to select [YE S ], then press
the center of the S et Lever.

Formatting starts.

S elect [FORMAT] in the [MEDIA S ETTING S ] menu.

The formatting screen appears.

Select the s lot to perform formatting.

Select the content to format.
Push the S et Lever up or down to select, then press the
center.

The formatting screen appears.

Pu s h the Set Lever up or down to s elect [YES], then
pre ss the center of the Set Lever.

Formatting starts.
Re s etting the File Number
Each time a recording is performed, the file num b er stored in
the S D card increases.
You can reset the file num b er b efore the next recording
starts.

A video or still picture reset screen appears.
Push the S et Lever up or down to select [YE S ], then press
the center of the S et Lever.

Video or still picture reset starts.
Video:
A parent folder is created for each video file format. When
recording starts after resetting the num
b er, a file is created
with the smallest num b er that is not used in the
corresponding parent folder.
S till picture:
A new folder is created with a num b er b y adding one to the
num b er of the folder where shooting is last performed or to
the largest folder num b er inside the media.
