NOTE:

One person must be available to lift the switch while another secures

it to the rack.

CAUTION:

If you are mounting multiple units on a rack, mount the heaviest

unit at the bottom of the rack and mount the other units from the bottom of
the rack to the top in decreasing order of the weight of the units.

To mount the switch on four posts of a rack:

Place the switch on a flat, stable surface.

Align the holes on the front rack-mounting brackets with the screw holes on the side
of the chassis and attach the front rack-mounting brackets to the switch by using the
front rack-mounting bracket screws. See

Figure 21 on page 72

Chassis

Align the holes on the rack-mounting slider brackets with the screw holes on the back
of the rack posts.

Attach the rack-mounting slider brackets to the rack posts by using appropriate
rack-mounting screws. Tighten the screws by using a screwdriver. See

Figure 22 on page 73

NOTE:

The ears of the rack-mounting slider brackets must be facing

backward and outward.
