Servicing lead-acid batteries with armour plated cells
4.3.1 Quality of Water for Adding Electrolyte
Z
The quality of the water used to add electrolyte must correspond to purified or
distilled water. Purified water can be produced through distillation or ion
exchangers and is then suitable for the production of electrolyte.
4.3.2 Daily
– Charge the battery after each discharge.
– After charging, check the electrolyte level of each battery cell and replenish as
required:
– Open the plug (15).
– If necessary, add electrolyte with pure water up to the "Max" electrolyte level
marking (17).
– Close the plug (15).
Z
The electrolyte level should not be less than the "Min" electrolyte marking (16) and
must not exceed the "Max" (17) marking.
