Commissioning and configuration
After ins talling the device and connecting the bus , power s upply and network, the device can be commis-
s ioned.
The device is configured in the ETS (Engineering Tool Software). The ETS is available with various ranges of
functions from the KNX Ass ociation (www.knx.org).
All des criptions in this documentation relating to commis s ioning in the ETS refer to the variant "ETS Profes-
s ional" in the vers ion 5.

Reading off the device status
using the LEDs
The following s tatus indicators (LEDs ) can be found on the front panel.

"Programming" LED
Shows whether the programming mode is active.

"APP" LED: Operation indication (green)
Serves as a s tatus indicator for the application.

"COM" LED: Communication KNX/TP (yellow)
Shows the communication traffic of KNX/TP.
The "APP" and "COM" LEDs have different meanings depending on the phas e in the operating mode:
