4 Mounting
4.3
Mounting site and environmental conditions
DANGER!
The pressure transmitter does not meet the "Equipment with safety function" requirements ac-
cording to the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU.
The current relevant regulations must be observed for dangerous media, e.g. oxygen, acetylene,
flammable, and poisonous substances, as well as for cooling systems and pressure tanks etc.
The national and international safety and accident prevention regulations must be observed!
Failure to observe these guidelines may result in bodily injuries and material damage!
The plant operator is responsible for compliance with the legal regulations!
Only suitably qualified persons are permitted to work at this device.
Prior to mounting
DANGER!
Depressurize the system before mounting the pressure transmitter!
Pressure transmitter in standard version:
Only the process connection
of the pressure transmitter may be used in zone 0. Level probes with
extra code 407 are permitted for complete use in zone 0, provided separation of zones is taken into
account, see chapter chapter 4.7 "Mounting instructions for pressure transmitters", Page 23.
The operator is responsible for ensuring that zones are properly separated and for the intrinsic safety
of the entire system!
CAUTION!
The pressure transmitter may only be used for such measured media to which the diaphragm ex-
hibits sufficient chemical resistance (corrosion).
In the hazardous dust area, the pressure transmitter must be mounted in such a way to ensure that
it is protected against impacts!
An electrically conductive connection between pressure transmitter and process connection(system)
must be ensured. The level probe always has to be fitted vertically suspended.
NOTE!
The installation site should be readily accessible, as close as possible to the measurement point, and
largely free from shock and vibration. The permissible ambient temperature must be observed (taking
into account possible radiant heat). The pressure transmitter can be mounted above or below the pres-
sure tapping.
The nominal position of the pressure transmitter is standing vertically. Depending on the conditions on
the measurement site, the transmitter may also be mounted in a different orientation.
