The PURO GRAND Condensate Cleaner
Installation instructions:
The PURO GRAND condensate cleaner has been specially developed to separate oil from condensate extracted from compressed air systems and is
effective with all types and makes of compressors, oils and drain valves.
To obtain the best performance from the machines, we suggest the following:
Installation instructions:
1)
The unit is designed to easily fit against a wall. Position the machine with the TEST to the front and remove the lids from the top of both
vessels.
2)
After ensuring that no harmful pressure exists, connect the condensate inlet pipe(s) using the 1/2"
"
inlet connections. If only one connection is
used, the others can be sealed with a screwed plug. Do not over-tighten connections.
3)
Connect the 1/2" outlet connection to a suitable sewage drain. Do not over-tighten connections.
4)
Lift the poly-element from vessel (1) and place it to one side for the time being.
5)
Remove the plastic packing material from the activated carbon element and slide it back in to the vessel (2) and let it rest on the bottom of the
vessel. Place the closed lid on vessel (2).
6)
Remove the depressuriser foam pad, pour clean water into the depressuriser box until it flows from the outlet pipe and then replace the foam
pad into the depressurising box.
7)
With the cable-tied end upwards, replace the white poly-element into vessel (1) by slowly pushing the element down into vessel 1
(the poly-element should rest on the bottom of vessel 1).
8)
Place lid 1 on vessel 1.
9)
Your condensate cleaner is now ready for use.
Note: During initial filling, dust may rise from the carbon elements; this is only displaced air and is entirely harmless. We recommend the active
carbon element to be pre-soaked for 24 hrs. Any carbon dust in the outlet water is harmless.
We recommend that initially a daily check is made on the quality of the output from your condensate cleaner. After a day or so, the output should be
clear when viewed in a clear glass container.
We recommend that you use our protection clothing kit when installing and or servicing the condensate cleaner.
Maintenance instructions:
Used elements can be heavy and we strongly advise that normal precautions for the lifting of heavy weights are taken.
To replace the poly-element, remove the lid from the top of the vessel (1) and lift the used poly-element out of the vessel. Simply lower the new
poly-element slowly into the vessel (1) and let it rest on the bottom of vessel 1.
To change carbon elements, remove a carbon element from its vessel (2) after removing the lid, lift the used carbon element from the vessel and
place where the draining water will cause no harm. Slide the new carbon element into the vessel (2) until it rests on the bottom of the vessel. The top
of the carbon element should be below the outlet hole. If required, clean water can be poured onto the top of the carbon element to prevent dust.
All used elements must be properly disposed of in accordance with curre nt regulations for the dis posal of hazardous waste in your area.
