Working on the Hook-Lift
Before working on a raised hook-lift, remove the body from the hook-lift. The tip-sup-
port, as described below, must also be in place to support the hook-lift. Failure to do
so, can lead to serious injury or death.
The hook-lift is equipped with a tip-support, as
shown opposite. This must be used when work-
ing on the hook-lift. It supports the hook-lift
when it is raised and acts as a safety measure
in the event of a hydraulic failure.
Shown opposite is the location for storing the
tip-support (shown in red). It is stored on the
right underside of the sub-frame.
The correct placement of the tip-support when
working on the hook-lift is also shown. It must
placed between the sub frame and the inter-
mediate-section, using its anchor points, as
shown and described below.
