The following information explains each area of the Event Log window.
Severity
Provides the seriousness of the event, informational,
warnings, or errors.
Time
Records the time the event occurred.
Evt ID
Provides a code to identify the event.
Description
Displays additional notes about the condition of the
device when the condition was identified and recorded.
Clear Event Log This will remove all history events in the log.
Refresh
Click on the Refresh button to see the current listings if
you have had this screen opened for a long time.
Configure System Settings
In order to make configuration settings for Notification, Policies, and Password,
you will need to access the System Configuration Settings. You can do this by
clicking on the System Configuration icon, which will take you the first window
with a choice of three tabs: Notification, Policies, or Password. Click on the
desired tab (see
Notification
Includes a configuration choice for Email Recipients or
SMTP Server.
Policies
Includes a configuration choice for Array Settings or
Cache Settings.
User Manager Includes fields to add or remove user accounts, and
change the password.
Notification
The notification feature will send emails to a list of people when events are
generated in the system. There are three types of events: informational, warnings,
and errors. Up to 10 recipients can be configured; each can define a different
filter of events he would like to receive.
Click on the Notification tab to access notification options (see
tab will allow you to configure the Email Recipients and the SMTP Server
settings.
Click on the Configure button under Email Recipients to add, remove or change
Email Recipients information.
Click on the Configure button under SMTP Server to set the SMTP server
information.
