MASTER CYLINDER
Removal
1.
Swing the boom away from the tongue.
2.
Place a suitable support or blocking under the platform
pivot.
3.
Tag and disconnect the hoses running to the master cyl-
inder. Cap or plug all openings.
4.
Using an adequate supporting device, support the mas-
ter cylinder so it doesn’t fall when the pin is removed.
NOTE:
The master cylinder weighs approximately 22 lbs. (10 kg).
5.
Remove the retaining pins and pivot pin from the rod
end of the cylinder.
6.
Remove the retaining pins and pivot pin from the barrel
end of the cylinder and remove the cylinder from the
machine.
Installation
1.
Using suitable lifting device, lift the master cylinder into
position and install the pivot pin and retaining pin into
the barrel end of the cylinder.
NOTE:
The master cylinder weighs approximately 22 lbs. (10 kg).
2.
Install the pivot pin and retaining pin into the rod end of
the cylinder.
3.
Connect the hydraulic hoses to the master cylinder as
tagged during removal.
4.
Cycle the master cylinder several times to check for
proper operation and any leakage.
