Introducing: CL-LSA, Load-Sensing Adaptor

This passive device can be used when incorporating a

CleanSweep® CL441dsp with an OEM audio system that has a
form of “load-sensing protection”.

Load-sensing protection in an OEM audio system is

generally activated when there is too high of a load impedance
on the output of an OEM source unit or amplifi er, triggering a
muting of that output.

This is generally discovered after an otherwise successful

installation and calibration of the CL441dsp. Once the audio
system or the car is turned off  and then back on, the OEM
radio or amplifi er mutes. Unplugging and re-plugging the
CL441dsp’s OEM input will restore output temporarily.

To address this behavior of certain OEM systems,

the CL-LSA is connected in-line between the CL441dsp

OEM INPUT CONNECTOR

”  jack and the OEM input harness

included with the CL441dsp. Doing so presents a compatible
load to the OEM audio output and prevents triggering the
load-sensing protection behavior.  There is no splicing needed,
this is a direct “plug and play”.

Please contact the JL Audio Technical Department at
1-888-JLAUDIO  ext. 2561 with questions regarding the CL-LSA.
For information on CleanSweep® installation and calibration,
please refer to the CL441dsp Owner’s Manual.

Once the CL-LSA has been connected in-line,
it will be necessary to recalibrate the CL441dsp
as the input level will be aff ected by the CL-LSA.
