How to communicate with the instrument

(1)

 

Connect the instrument to the LEMO connector  and connect the USB converter  to the PC via USB 
cable. 

(2)

 

Check the Device Manager to see which port the instrument is connected to.

Display Device Manager. 

 

 

[Start > Control Panel], [Hardware and Sound > Device Manager] (if it is “View 
by: Category”) 

 

Right-click [Start > Computer] and search [Properties], [Device Manager]

Check “Port (COM and LPT)”.

Start the specialized software “FT-Calib” (see 7.4.1). 

(4)

 

Select the port searched by Device Manager. If it cannot be found, the ports on the computer can be 
searched again by clicking the [     ] button. 

 

 

(5)

 

It is possible to obtain the header information and check the connection by clicking the “Receive Header”
