BATTERY WARNING
1. Be sure that the batteries are installed correctly. Wrong olarity may damage the unit.
2. (a) Do not mix old and new batteries.
(b) Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium)
batteries.
3. If the unit is not to be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries.
Old or leaking batteries can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty.
4. Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may explode or leak.
5. Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can overheat
and rupture.( Follow battery manufacturer’s directions ).
NOTE:
The speakers are not magnetically shielded and may cause color distortion on
the screen of some TVs or video monitors. To avoid this, you may need to move the
unit further away from the TV or monitor if an unnatural color shifts or image distortion
occurs.
OPERATION
You can play other music sources (iPod, MP3 or other digital audio players) through
the SMPS-222 by connecting the AUX IN JACK (#5) to your external player’s audio out
jack or headphone jack.
1. Plug one end of an audio cable (#6) into the AUX IN JACK (#5) located on the
bottom of the unit, and the other end of the cable into the headphone jack of your
digital audio player.
2. Swivel the speaker as shown below to expose the speakers (#2)
3. Rotate the ON/OFF Volume Control (#1) to turn on the SMPS-222. The Power
Indicator (#3) will turn on.
4. Start playing the device you plugged into the aux IN JACK (#5).
5. Slowly adjust both the volume controls of your SMPS-222 and the external device
until you reach a comfortable listening level.
6. Turn off the device plugged into the SMPS-222 when finish listening.
7. Rotate the ON/OFF Volume Control (#1) to turn off the SMPS-222 and unplug the
AUX IN Jack.
