Stop/Start automatically stops the engine during a vehicle stop if the
required conditions are met.
The system is automatically enabled each time the engine is started.
To manually turn off Stop/Start, push the Stop/Start OFF switch located
on the switch bank.

Prior to engine shut down, the system will check many safety and
comfort conditions to determine if they are fulfilled. Certain conditions
will prevent the engine from autostopping. See your Owner's Manual
for a detailed list of these conditions.
KEEP IN MIND:
If there is a malfunction in the Stop/Start system, the
system will not shut down, and a message will appear
in the instrument cluster display.
System Malfunction
Have the system checked by an authorized dealer.
To activate:
•
The system must be in STOP/START READY state.
•
The vehicle must be completely stopped.
•
The gear selector must be in a forward gear with the brake pedal pressed.
Autostop Mode
Once the system is activated, the engine will shut down, the tachometer
will move to zero, and the Stop/Start telltale will illuminate.
