The following lists examples of the command set for the ACTION subsystem
within the measurement application.
Before you try to execute any actions, make sure they are applicable.
Executing an action
This command executes the specified action. If the ack_immediately flag is set
to 1, the action command is acknowledged and then the action is executed.
Otherwise, the command is not acknowledged until the execution of the action
is complete.
Command
rc a_execute action_name [ack_immediately]
Response
2:SCE:cmsend:ack:a_execute
Querying the state of an action
This command queries the current and next state of an action. For example, if
the action is for something that can be turned on and off, the query may return
“ON” for the current state and “OFF” for the next state. For monostate actions
(actions with only one state), current and next states will always be the same.
Command
rc a_get_state action_name
Response
2:SCE:cmsend:ack:a_get_state current_state, next_state
current_state
is a string representation of the action's current state.
next_state
is a string representation of the action's next state.
