12.4 - USING TWO A8 SUSPENSION BARS
Two VTX A8 Suspension Bars can be used for both the top and bottom of and a VTX A8 array. This configuration is helpful when the
flexibility of the main Array Frame is not needed, while at the same time reducing cost and the overall weight of an array. Many perma-
nent installation configurations can benefit from this arrangement. Conversely, this setup is not as flexible as the combination of an Array
Frame and Suspension Bar, and installation (assembling the array) can take longer than normal.
STEPS:
• Connect the first VTX A8 SB to the top cabinet of the array. The pins included with the Suspension Bar are used to attach the
Bar to the A8 cabinet. The Suspension Bar should always be connected to the rear A8 suspension points.
• Set the A8 cabinet (connected to the Suspension Bar) to the
4-degree position
.
• Attach the motor to the Suspension Bar and lift the first stack of A8s. Follow the instructions in chapter 9 to suspend the A8
array.
• After the entire A8 array has been assembled, connect the second Suspension Bar to the last cabinet of the array.
• Make sure the Suspension Bar attachment tabs have been extended to the outside position so the SB can connect to an A8
cabinet.
• Use the VTX A8 Quick Release Pins to attach the Suspension Bar to the last VTX A8 of the array.
• Attach the hoist to the center shackle position of the Suspension Bar and lift the array.
