DTC P0710 A/T FLUID TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT

Description
ECS009DY
The A/T fluid temperature sensor detects the A/T fluid temperature and sends a signal to the TCM.

This is an OBD-II self-diagnostic item.
●
Diagnostic trouble code “ATF TEMP SEN/CIRC” with CONSULT-II or P0710 without CONSULT-II is
detected under the following conditions.
–
When normal voltage not applied to ATF temperature sensor due to open, short, and so on.
–
When during running, the ATF temperature sensor signal voltage is excessively high or low.
Possible Cause

Harness or connectors
(The sensor circuit is open or shorted.)
●
A/T fluid temperature sensor

NOTE:
If “DTC Confirmation Procedure” has been previously performed, always turn ignition switch “OFF”
and wait at least 10 seconds before performing the next test.
After the repair, perform the following procedure to confirm the malfunction is eliminated.
WITH CONSULT-II
1.
Turn ignition switch “ON”. (Do not start engine.)
2.
Select “A/T” with “DATA MONITOR” mode in CONSULT-II.
3.
Start engine.
4.
Warm up engine so that engine coolant temperature is more
than 50
°
C (122
°
F).
COOLAN TEMP: More than 50
°
C (122
°
F)
5.
Maintain the following conditions for at least 16 minutes (Total).
(It is not necessary to drive vehicle.)
COOLAN TEMP: More than 50

F)
SLCT LVR POSI: “D” position
6.
If DTC is detected, go to
AT-485, "Diagnostic Procedure"
.
WITH GST
Follow the procedure “With CONSULT-II”.
