ASSEMBLY

Revision: November 2006

2006 Altima

7.

Install new O-ring to input shaft.

CAUTION:

●

Do not reuse O-ring.

●

Apply petroleum jelly to new O-ring.

8.

Adjust brake band.

a.

Tighten new anchor end pin to the specified torque using suit-
able tool.

CAUTION:

Do not reuse anchor end pin.

b.

Back off anchor end pin two and a half turns.

c.

While holding anchor end pin, tighten lock nut.

9.

Apply compressed air to oil holes of transaxle case and check
operation of brake band.

10. Install final drive assembly on transaxle case.
