REPAIR FOR COMPONENT PARTS

Revision: November 2006

2006 Altima

3.

Drive and pull out parking rod plate retaining pin using Tool.

4.

Remove parking rod plate from manual shaft.

5.

Draw out parking rod from transaxle case using suitable tool.

6.

Pull out manual shaft retaining pin using suitable tool.

7.

Remove manual shaft and manual plate from transaxle case.

8.

Remove manual shaft oil seal using suitable tool.

CAUTION:

●

Do not reuse oil seal.

●

Do not damage the transaxle case.

INSPECTION

●

Check component parts for wear or damage. Replace if necessary.

INSTALLATION

1.

Install new manual shaft oil seal using suitable tool.

CAUTION:

●

Do not reuse oil seal.

●

Apply ATF to the outer surface of new oil seal.
