Moisten the inside of the plunger seal with methanol to make 
mounting easier. 
 

Note:  Remember the following when mounting the pump head 

onto the head mount flange. 

 

(1)  Press the head straight into the head mount flange 

and do not move it up/down or left/right. 

 

(2)  Take care not to jam or sandwich the tubing (1) 

 

 

(See Fig. 5.2).

Tighten the bolts evenly to maintain an even gap between the 
head mount flange and the pump head. If the head is tightened 
unevenly, loosen the bolts, pull the pump head away from the 
head mount flange, and then retighten the bolts properly.
