Drawing up the bobbin thread

Raise the presser foot lifter. Hold the needle thread
with your finger.

Bobbin thread

Turn the handwheel one complete turn towards you.
Draw the needle thread to bring up a loop of the
bobbin thread.

Pass the needle thread through the hole in the
embroidery foot and draw it up to the thread holder
leaving an inch of free thread.
