Current transformer
Set the primary and secondary current according to
the type plate values of your CT. Carefully to set cor-
rect values as this setting influences the measure-
ment range selection of the UMG 510.
Rated current
Set the rated current to the nominal current value of
the pre-fusing or the distribution transformer or what-
ever is appropriate for your installation. The rated
current setting is
used as basis for
trigger and event
thresholds. Set the
rated current to 0
(zero) to disable
current trigger and
event recordings
on the main input.
Initial operation
Potential transformer
Set the primary and secondary voltage of the poten-
tial (voltage) transformer according to the type plate
values of the VT. If no VTs are used, set both primary
and secondary to the nominal voltage to be meas-
ured. Carefully to set correct values as this setting
influences the measurement range selection of the
UMG 510.

Rated voltage
The nominal (rated) voltage setting is used as basis
for trigger and event thresholds. Set the rated volt-
age to the nominal voltage of your installation. Also
use the correct line-to-neutral or line-to-line voltage
according to the voltage mode selection, e.g. 230V
L-N for low-voltage systems or 10000V L-L for a
medium voltage installation.
