Jamo Adds Radio Tuner to i200 iPod® Speaker
Company ups the ante on popular digital music system
With the introduction of its compact i200
docking station in late 2006, Jamo set a new
standard within the iPod accessory space.
Today, the company plans to build on the
success of this highly applauded system by
introducing a new version that features an FM
stereo tuner.
Highly sensitive and easy to operate, the i200’s
FM tuner lets users search for FM stations and
assign up to five presets using the supplied
wand-type remote control.
Just like the original version, the latest i200 is a sleek, minimalist design that offers big sound and a wide variety of
functional uses. Measuring just 380mm wide by 95mm deep and standing just 125mm tall, this elegant and compact
system can easily be mounted to a wall or placed on a shelf.
A spring-loaded docking bay accepts and charges iPods with 30-pin connectors. Well inserts are included to securely
dock the assorted models. Non-dockable first and second generation iPods as well as other digital devices connect via a
3.5mm auxiliary audio input.
Carefully selected drive-units and sophisticated electronics allow this system to sound exceedingly musical and deliver a
frequency response of 120Hz – 20kHz.
For increased low-frequency response, users can connect an active subwoofer—preferably the Jamo SUB 200—to the
i200’s full-bandwidth, sub-out connection. Additionally, the same connection can be used to output audio to the JamoLink
multi-room system, which distributes the iPod’s music all over the house.
Available in a high-gloss black or white finish, the new i200 fits comfortable into any office or living environment.
Close at hand, the DMR 70 remote control directly reflects the importance Jamo places on products being easy and logical
to operate in daily use.
For rooms where space isn’t an issue, the company recommends pairing the DMR 70 with a pair of A 405 floorstanding
speakers to serve as mains, a pair of A 402 speakers for rear-channel sound, and an A 400 CEN center channel for crisp
dialogue. When dealing with smaller spaces, the DMR 70 works great with four of the company’s A 102 satellites along with
an A 10 CEN center channel speaker.
